Be Big Auction
This event is held in the fall as a dinner banquet with a live and silent auction. The event is to auction off items and services donated by businesses and individuals in the community in support of Big Brothers and Big Sisters.
There are lots of great items to bid on including once in a lifetime experiences with various local figures.

Climb for Kids' Sake
Pre-event Barbeque to be held at the South Sobey's on June 18th, 2011 at 11am - 4pm. Come on out for some tasty treats!
Climb for Kid's Sake Charity Concert at The Stone with Free Byrd (Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Band) on June 25th. Show starts at 8pm. $15 at the door.
Trevor Stuart's Climb for Kids Sake 2011 is scheduled for July 29th through July 31st. Although his previous climbs have been in exotic locales like Tanzania and Nepal, this year he's staying closer to home. Trevor is hoping to get local climbers interested in participating in the climb and "fun"draising, all focused on raising money and awareness for Big Brothers Big Sisters Lethbridge.
The 2011 climb, guided by Yamnuska Mountaineering, will take place on Mt. Athabasca, right here in Alberta. The mountain is situated between Banff and Jasper, in the Columbia Ice fields. Measuring 11,455 feet, this menacing mountain is a snow and ice climb, pretty much from top to bottom!
The 4-day event starts with an orientation in Canmore on July 28th. On days 2 and 3, they'll experience a full-day of snow school and a day of ice and ice crevasse rescue training. After three nights of camping on the ice field, they'll summit on day 4 and return to a relaxing evening in a hotel in Banff.

Bowl for Kids' Sake!
This event is held in the early spring at the Holiday Bowl. We ask people to enter a team of four to bowl. Each team member is asked to raise a minimum pledge, but are strongly encouraged to raise as much as they possibly can! Teams come out and bowl two games for prizes (for good and bad bowling), have a bite to eat and enjoy a fun time for a great cause.
Times are:
March 25, Friday at 7pm or 9pm
March 26, Saturday at 6pm or 8pm
April 1, Friday at 7pm or 9pm
April 2, Saturday at 6pm or 8pm
This years theme is TEAMS! so come dressed in your favorite team costume if you wish.
